do you wanna bump?

so, riding home tonight from a lovely meal, we jumped in a cab, having walked for most of the weekend all over the city. at first the ambiance in the taxi was rather dull, save for a strange evangelical voice coming from the radio. i noticed the ceiling was rather fancy--red leather with a small disco ball in the center. just as i looked out the window, jim watched the radio become a small flat screen tv-transformer-like are many of the cabs in this city. the radio face moved outwards and then flipped around and up to reveal a small but crystal clear video screen. funk started streaming out of the speakers. there were funk-a-rific folks dancing all over the screen in sequins and lycra. "do you wanna bump?" boney m. seriously old vintage funk footage. fabulous. i got home and had to google it. not knowing much about boney m except for a choice few hot hits, i found this: http://www.maiziewilliams.com/?gclid=COCludGdrowCFQbIbgodYnyFSw

my favorite part is the "emotional love" menu item and the fact that you can hire maizie out to "recreate that unique special moment live with her own band..."

awesome. great weekend. much to report but very tired at the moment. more posting later this week!

I suppose my first comment didn't go through. Loved the Blog thus far. I'll hit Walmart for you when I go to the Outlets in Vacaville with a friend's son from England who's coming to stay with me for 3 weeks. Now, 2 weeks back form London & Paris. Had a great time & just at the end of the jetlag thing. More later. Have much fun!
